Unable to attend Applicant Day

I received an invitation for an applicant day (which i accepted) but due to some unexpected family issues I won't be able to attend. The issue is I was offered an unconditional offer and I am some what worried that not attending an applicant open day may cause my offer to be withdrawn.

There is no obligation to go to the Applicant day. For politeness sake, I would notify the university in advance that you now unfortunately can not attend but it is not compulsory. If you accept the offer as a firm then you will be going there in September!
