Errr i did it, ONCE never again, i didnt get anyone and i felt hidiously ugly

intill i pulled in a club we went to afterwards

so i should really turn this into a "Speed Dating Tips" thread
it sounds fun, but when someone hideous starts talking to you how do you tell them to go away
i would just tell them straight but then i might look "mean" or something

Then why can't you talk to girls in a bar like normal people? Can't think of any other reason why anyone would need to go to these things.

If I was single i'd give it a go, just because it's something different. It's just a bit of fun, could be a bit of a laugh and there is the possibility that you'll meet someone. There's no harm in giving it a try. You only live once.

Ignore people who say that you have to be sad or desperate to give it a go, that's rubbish. Be open minded about it, you don't know what it's going to be like until you try it. I'm sure it's not made for everyone :smile:
