Practice it... read it. If not a native speaker you must associate with natives. English is complicated... children learn by constant correction from parents and peers. Not from a set of rules. There are rules but with over 300 irregular verbs and more tenses and nuances than Adam... even native speakers never stop learning.

I am currently trying to excel at my subect which is why, I first need to concentrate on how well I can do in my comprehension. That was actually my questions as well.
