The last part of the question says:
In another dive from the same platform the diver performs a somersault during descent.
explain whether the speed is same, less than or greater than as calculated previously (speed calculated in previous part which is about 12.6m/s).
My answer:I think the speed should decrease beacuse the g.pe is same though but this time he has used some of the energy in performing somersault,so the speed should decrease.
--->>Answer in mark scheme:
The speed is same.
But how?

Q: The train begins to travel up a slope.Explain why the power of the train's engine must be increased to maintain the
speed of 24m/s .
Can anyone explain me this part..
Thanks,

As I mention, starts a new thread when you are asking a new question.
I would help this time.

As the train moves up the slope, there is an increase in gravitational potential energy.
Next, you need to link the increase in gravitational potential energy to the power of the engine.
