Part-time internship in UK law firms for law student from overseas

Hi there,

I'm wondering whether there is anyone being in my situation and how did you manage this.

I am a Vietnamese obtaining my undergrad degree at a law school in Vietnam. I had over 2 year of working experiences in Vietnam (including 1 notable law firm) majoring in corporate and M&A. Recently, I received a scholarship fully funding my master degree in Liverpool so I moved here 1 month ago.

I'm planning to gain some practical experiences in a commercial law firm in Liverpool or Manchester region through a part-time internship (my BRP allows me to work up to 20 hours per week only). I understand that all outstanding law firms have their vacation schemes instead of occasional internships. Should I apply directly to HR of the firms of my choice? Does anyone recommend a few suitable firms that I can apply for a part-time internship?

I truly appreciate any further recommendations.
