Ive been to ayia napa, couldn't tell you too much about cyprus other then napa is the dogs *******s!
I went to Cyprus and found it to be rather average. Visited Ayia napa for a day and found it soul-less and nasty. I havent been to Bulgaria, but I reckon it is far nicer. Much more realistic, Cyprus is too British. If however you want egg and chips for dinner every night, Cyprus is your best bet.

anyone been to cyprus or bulgaria? which place is the best?

I've been to Bulgaria once and I think it's better to go there because it's soooo cheap. Cyprus is in EU now so I doubt it can compare to Bulgaria in that matter.

ive been to both, bulgaria is best ...as well as very cheap

one time i went there, we stayed the first week in the mountains, and second week by the beech, all as part of the same holiday, id recommend that to anyone. it kinda breaks the holiday down, helps to keep the kids interested and make the adults think its longer than 2 weeks!

the mountains were gorgeous. despite the slowly incoming tourism out there, it felt very rural and peaceful. the scenery flying into the mountains was pretty damn nice too! and then the second week was the usual sweaty lazy beach holiday, all good fun

but then, i have fond memories of cyprus too. a bit more 'luxourious' in my memory. that was a long time ago though, my memories not that good anymore!

Hi, I come from Bulgaria (the mountain part). It's the best. Did you go to Pirin (Bansko)?

Been to both - Bulgaria without a doubt, but I guess it depends on what you're after. If you're after 'little Britain', then Cyprus will probably suit you better - if you're after soemthing different go to Bulgaria...
