APU and Cambridge University Academic Rivalry

I thought all of a sudden, how horrible it must be an APU student and be in Cambridge, see King's College and people coming in and out and not being a part of it.
Or Oxford Brookes student-to be in the City of Spires and every time when someone asks which university you go to, to say ...Brookes....

I wonder whether Oxford/Cambridge university students mix with their Brookes/APU "rivals"?

Don't even know where the APU campus is and I've never bumped into an APU student! They can walk through King's though because they are residents of Cambridge

I've had people reply, "Oh, Brookes?" when I've told them that I go to Oxford. :/

King's? Where is King's? Go Pembroke!!

Oh, where's APU exactly anyway??

Some guy from the other place said the Brookes is a source for pretty girls...

When I was at Leeds there was the same thing with Leeds/Leeds Metropolitan Universities. People wouldn't normally mix.

And my friend who is doing law at Nottingham University notices that some Nottingham Trent University law students diplomatically reply "I am from Nottingham Law School" which is actually true, but misleading

And Brookes College, Oxford is another hit.

Em... I didn't say that and I can't prove that. Cos I'm at Pembroke Cambridge, which is a source for pretty girls.

It's over by Emma, on Gonville Place, I think. I know it's close to the cricket ground.

And no, as of yet, I'm yet to meet any APU students, I think their accommodation is quite a way out so they don't really hang around the center of Cambridge where most of the colleges are. And when I was at Oxford we mever mixed with Brookes students for the same reason, they lived miles out.

it's parallel to mill road, but back a bit.

East Road
Many cities now have two universities, one usually being older and more prestigious and the other being an ex-poly. They all seem to manage okay (with a little local rivalry!) and I don't think that things are particularly different in Oxford and Cambridge.
Brookes being nowhere near any Oxford colleges, there doesn't tend to be much mingling. I've got a good mate from Brookes, though! There's no academic rivalry, as everyone's above that. Plus Brookes has the only decent nightlife in Oxford, so we like to stay on their good side!

Oh, and yeah - Brookes girls are much fitter than Oxford ones.
I know a few APU students - nice people and very good singers

Yeah, APU is on East Road - go past the Grafton Centre and turn right.
