Dear TSR Memebers,

It has been approximately 5 months since I started A-level biology and my grades are horrendous. I have been getting c and d since I started. I don’t understand what the problem is as I understand everything perfectly and I can answer all the questions that are just recall. However, questions that require application I will hardly ever get one mark whatever the question is out of. Has anyone got any clues as to how I should sort out this problem?

I have tried lots of practice questions and seem to have the same problem when attempting the questions that require application.

Also, can anyone recommend any good revision sources for AQA biology?

Thanks in advance.

-mr pollock biology (youtube)
- mrluck biology (website)
-learn content from cgp student book: its condensed, concise, and contains everything.
-use specification as checklist.
- then practise ppq old and new as much as possible
- ask teacher for help for anything you can't do/dont understand

AQA is very focused on keywords, get those keywords in.
