i'm seeing a counsellor through school who has said that i've got a 'full house' of symptoms for depression and anxiety - panic attacks, constant sadness etc etc etc - and i'm not sure what to do with the information. i've been struggling with my mental health for around four-ish years and my parents have ... no idea. at all. and i have no idea how to articulate it.

they're very overprotective and i just don't want it to escalate. i'm (very) nearly an adult, and would like to be treated as such, but they still think im twelve.

any ideas how to tell them? and what to do next?

thanks

if you were grown up and serious you'd see a professional who isn't your school counsellor on your own.
until then you don't have anything.
