PPE to Investment Banking?

PPE to Investment Banking?

I've always wanted to do PPE at Oxford and then go into investment banking or stockbroking and then into Civil service (or maybe even diplomacy). But I was recently told that degrees that are more physics and maths based are preferred. Do you think PPE would allow me to go into investment banking in the future?
