Assessment centre prep

I have an AC Tuesday. It consists of an in tray written exercise, a group negotiation exercise and a partner interview which includes a case study. Is there anyway I can prep myself adequately. Has anyone who has been on AC’s previously got any tips for what they did/wish they had done to prepare?

Best ways to prepare:

Read FT and have a bank of news stories you're genuinely interested in to discuss about commercial awareness.
Have an understanding about what makes the firm different, how they attract clients, and why that appeals to you.
For group work exercises try to take the lead initially to propose a structure and timeline and then facilitate discussion and step back as the group becomes more cohesive.
For the partner interview, in particular, do not be afraid to ask for a minute to respond to the questions. I did it in every partner interview I was in. It's better to spend 20 seconds figuring out what to say then waffling.
When answering questions use the STAR technique (look it up if you don't know it).
