Why are people more arrogant in University? Watch

I’ve met many arrogant people in uni who have bragadocious personalities, in particularly for example their obsession with looks, and image, etc. They socialise superficially for the sake of it without intending on making any meaningful relationships? I, myself am guilty to this sometimes but the reason I am like this is because i feel like living in uni doesn’t feel ‘real’ for some odd reason. It feels like I’m in a place where I have to study for 3 years, and I’m living with a bunch of people I’m forced to socialise with and hence, I have to adopt another type of personality that is more extrovertedly inclined to appeal to effectively the social norms. Like for example, when I’m at home with my family I’m more chilled but when I’m at uni, in a way I’m forced to adopt a more loud and extroverted personality especially since I’m biologically motivated by social interaction. Perhaps this doesn’t make sense but it’s how I feel.

Hanging out with that sort of person. How much exposure to other environments outside school and uni have you had?
