i want to take these subjects for a level as a pathway to medicine to a russel group uni. is this a good idea or should i be considering other options too? i haven’t taken history for gcse btw but it seems so interesting. i’m also interested in chemical engineering would this combo be ok for tht too? thnks in advance

Russel group doesn't matter for medicine, or in general.
If you end up going for chemical engineering, maths will probably be essential. Chemistry and biology together will give you the most options for universities.

I don't recommend you take 4 full A-levels. If your 6th form lets you take AS and then drop a subject then that's fine
