Hi there,

I hope I've put this in the right section.

I've just been accepted for a job as Dementia Support Worker for Alzheimer's Society. This role involves providing one-to-one help with people with dementia and their family/carers, over the telephone, via email, and face-to-face.

I'm just wondering if anybody here has ever worked for Alzheimer's Society and if so:

What can I expect in detail working as a Dementia Support Worker for AS?
What is the company like?
If you work within a different role in the AS, what is it and what is it like?

I'm just a bit anxious about starting, and hoping for some reassuring answers. I have brief experience working with people with dementia, and I'm very happy to have been offered this job role.

Thanks.
