Hey 👋
So I’m currently in y11 and I’d like some tips on improving my grades my predictions really put me down and every topic test we do I always get low and I revise for them however I do cram and I try not to
I’m predicted mainly 5/6 but I’m aiming for 7/8 and above really because I feel I have the potential
I just want some advice if anyone feels likes this and just in Gcse

Thanks

For me the best thing is past papers. Print off about 3 of them and just go through. Do the ones you can, look at the mark scheme for the ones you can't, then write them in. Go over them until you think you know how to answer all the questions and then print it again and try. I know this makes it sound like it's really easy and it's not, but this really works for me. If you can answer all the questions in the past papers, then (in theory) you can answer basically everything for the real exam.

This isn't to say that this will work for everyone though, so find something that is effective for you.

Also make sure you understand a concept properly, instead of just learning to apply it like a machine. Then (in my experience) you don't have to put much effort into remembering it because it's already so deeply embedded.

It's good you feel like you have the potential and believe in yourself! And you're trying to help yourself which is great. I hope this helps

Right now, you want to go through all your notes and understand all the content.

Next, grind out and complete as many past papers as you can for each subject.

Good Luck.

May the odds be forever in your favor.
