It seems rampant amongst 99.9% of people in UK to lie about their height. Personally, I wake up at 181.8 CM and go to sleep at around 180 CM. I have good posture and stand tall nearly always which probably makes me look taller.
For some reason though, people think I'm 6'2" and some even say 6'3"? It's because they are convinced of their own heights being greater than what it actually is. I can't figure out if people in this country are intellectually incapable of figuring out how to measure height (and the fact that shoes and hair doesn't count in the measuremenr) or if they all just lie to make everyone feel better about their genetics.
In fact, according to statistics, the average height in UK is 5'9" for all adults and 5'10" for people aged 25-34. Yet, whenever I walk to university I can walk across 40-50 men on a good day, without noticing someone taller than me. Maybe the fact I tend to prefer wearing boots like Timberlands helps but a lot of people do.
Either way, to all the people on this site. Why do you lie about your height and how much do you exaggerate by?
