I received offers on my chosen university’s on the terms that I pass my access course at 45 credits, would this be 10 distinctions and 5 merits?

At level 3 sorry I forgot to add, would this still be the same? Don’t really understand how the HE grading system works.

Yup still the same. The HE course is comprised of coursework and exams. So let’s say you’re doing an access to HE science... the credits would be split up into exams and coursework. A biology exam could be worth 6 credits and the grade you receive is either a pass, merit or distinction.
Your uni requires you to receive at least a pass in everything (all 45 credits)

Hope that makes some sort of sense

Perfect mate, thanks a lot, I sort of understood it but thought it sounded too good to be true as I thought the requirements would have been higher, thanks a lot for your help.

Sometimes Unis make surprisingly low offers to Access students. It seems that they like mature students!
