No I wouldn’t, unis often don’t consider them as different qualifications.

I am doing advanced higher bio, chem and maths, and alongside applying for medicine (personal statement, UKCAT and interviews), the workload is definitely big enough

There is a lot to higher human biology and it is v different to higher biology. My older ds did biology my younger human biology. Unis do not considerate a separate quailification so there is no need and will add to your workload. However I would also say lots of the course content is v relavant to medicine. If you deceided to do it you may find it interesting but would need to concentrate to your advanced higher. My ds is doing 3 this yr and it is a lot of work but what makes it harder is that a lot of work goes on to applying to medicine- ukcat, interviews personal statement, work experience and all yr there has been something else going on until now. Ds had his last interview last week. Depending on where you live you also might miss quite a bit of school travelling to interviews open days etc. He has found it much harder to keep up with workload this yr than the last 2.
