What the hell is this??? I know how to do regions involving inequalities. I have googled this online and can't find any thing related to this question. This is very stupid!

Can't you just look at it? The tree has to go in the lower half since it must be closer to CD than to AB. And it can't go in the region shaded in the diagram

The topic is 'loci'.

Loci is the plural of 'locus' which is Latin for a point, or a place, or a position.

Loci is an extension of the topic 'constructions'.

You are required to know several constructions such as how to draw perpendiculars in various situations, line bisectors, angle bisectors, and distances from a point, line, or polygon.

Loci requires you to understand how we might apply these constructs to geometrical situations.
