Kevin Feige has said that he wants to introduce Ms Marvel, a young character inspired by Captain Marvel, soon into the MCU. I am desperate to audition for the role when it comes round - however, since I don't have an agent yet or that much acting experience, Marvel most likely won't reach out to me. I have considered filming a self-audition tape and emailing it to the casting director along with headshots and a resume. I realise that this isn't the normal way to do things, but do you think it might gain me some consideration for when they do begin to cast an actor for the role?

I highly doubt they will take you seriously without some kind of official representation.

Unless you have acted in films before in a lead role, I don't think they will consider you as anything more than an over-ambitious amateur.

Well, Carol Danvers is Ms. Marvel - they've just changed her name for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie. So I don't think they really can "introduce" Ms. Marvel as such; she'd need a different alter-ego to the comics.

I understand that, but I was talking about Kamala Khan. Sorry if you did mean her, though!

I guess good point. But many actors who've auditioned before weren't particularly huge, but they did have a fair bit more acting experience than I do.
