I sat my A levels in the the summer of 2018, I want to resit some of them in the summer of 2020. I understand you can only resit your A levels once with the new system but i'm not sure if that one resit is only allowed in the next year or if you can use your resit anytime in the future.

You can re-sit them as often as you want, limited only by the fact they're only available once a year. If there was any NEA then you can carry it forward but you have to re-sit all the exams for a subject.

A-levels can only be done once per year and exams normally happen in June.

This means you can enrol to retake the exams the following year.

The option of taking A-level exams in January is unfortunately no longer available.

Remember you can only resit your exams once.

By NEA do you mean practical assessments that give you a separate pass/fail grade? So I don't have to do them again?

NEA - non examination assessment - is any coursework or assessed practicals. You don't need to do them again.

Is the top bit a quote from somewhere? If it is then it's pretty ancient as January A level exams were last available in 2013. I am pretty certain that there are no limitations on how often you can re-sit linear A levels.
