I feel so depressed and I have no idea how to get rid of this feeling. Do you have any recommendations on how to tackle depression?

Moderate
.
Remember that its normal to go through bad times, but don't use it as an excuse to stay in it. When I was depressed, what got me out of it was figuring out what exactly was making me depressed. Then I wrote out a list of what I could do to change it. I didn't do them all at once, I did one at a time. It took awhile to get out of it but I'm in a more stable mindset now.
There are a few things you could incorporate into your life that can help.
Exercise helps. Or even a small walk everyday.

Maybe do some volunteer work if you have spare time ? Helping others really does have an impact on how you feel
I have depression too for years and it seems to be one of those you cant get rid of...at least not completely. I haven't been happy for years. I cant give you much advice. nothing I try helps. Surround yourself with people who make you happy, and laugh?

 Maybe that was bad idea.
How about you do what makes you happy. For example, i cant speak for you but when i feel down i just
talk with close friends/family or some physical activity. have goals too.

What if I know what's making me depressed but I can't do anything about it?

I don't really like people, I'd rather have alone time honestly. Thanks for trying to help

A for effort though , thanks for trying to help
i dont have depression but what helped me generally is cleaning up my life abit. quit porn, masturbation, social media, cut down apps on phone to essentials, cut down video game, netflix, music time. eat a cleaner diet, go to the gym more and lift heavier. read books (money, psychology, relationships, social skills, fiction) meditation, learn new skills, go to bed earlier and get up earlier. tiny changes everyday compound like 10 mins a day reading over a year could have read 10 life changing books. or going to gym once a week thats 52 sessions - could have bulked up got toned in that time. or maybe you meditated often it gives mental clarity and then you could go about ur business everyday with a clearer head

u can take ur hardcore drugs but if ur living like a slob - they arent gonna do chit
You're quite similar to me. I also prefer to be alone most the time. Do you have may friends?

I choose not to, only because I feel like I'm always more invested (into the friendship) than the other person is, so I just distance myself from everyone and everything
So no friends? Would you say you're an introvert?
I’m the same.
I have this constant feeling of not wanting to do anything and just lie in one place all day. And I think it’s because I’m unhappy deep down.
But the best way to get over it is by forcing yourself to do things. And also, humble yourself - think about the people who have less than us (in terms of education, health, wealth) and that will encourage you to make the most of your time.

Also, try being vegetarian.
"Try being vegetarian"

Haha thanks for making me (a depressed, dysphoria and ****ed up person laugh). I dont see how that helps with depression

Thanks for your advice . I try to do things and make the most out of the time I have but I get bored so quickly and end up laying around on my bed all day. Besides, there's only so much one could possibly do, but thank you
