my GCSE ENGLISH teacher hates me 4 no reason!!!!
Hiya all, ive jsut started year 10 n we have got new teacher sin our subjects who we will keep for this year and next (the full GCSE course basically) and i have a female english teacher who HATES me. a week or 2 ago i finished my work 1st n told her,so she give me sum uver work 2 do about these 2 poems n i dint have the slightest clue wat the poems were tlkin about.they meant nufin 2 me. i was so 
n told her.She sed 2 read them agen(even tho id read them loads!!) so i did anyway n she kept sayin2 read them agen so i did n i had i fnished very early n no1 else had finished the 1st task yet n i had been doin these stupid poems 4 about 30mins, so i asked her wat i shud do coz i didnt understand AT ALL, she sed 2 do them n as i cudnt i sat there n did nufin, i just sat there n got a red slip for doing nufin!!!!!(at my skule we have green slips--good work, yellow slips--l8 mark or missed hmwk n red slips for misbehaviour n white 1's 4 like throwing a chair or sumfin really naughty lol) i couldnt believe it, i finished my work first n got a red slip!!! i was

OK, you might want to actually type in English. But I can see what you're saying. Best thing for you to do is speak to the head of English about her, failing that go and see your head of year. If no progress is made, have a word with the headteacher. There's not really a lot else you can do about it.

I would definately talk to my head of year because this would definately affect ur GCSE
It's unfair that she told you off for not understanding what you were reading - she's probably the type of teacher that expects people to cope with advanced texts "because you're set 1 and you're intelligent" etc and doesn't understand that even clever kids need help at times. My Maths teacher used to make me feel two inches tall when I didn't understand something just because everyone else in the class knew what they were doing, whereas I found it harder.

it's so hard to read
Cope. I had a couple of teachers that 'hated' me (some for no reason) and usually, telling another teacher does more harm than good - they have a habit of sticking up for each other.
So...You have a couple of options (I've tried all three):
1. Tell a head of department and hope something gets sorted.
2. Be passive. If she yells, answer quietly, ect.
3. Argue with her. Not aggressively, but make your feelings known. You'll either 'break' her or get thrown out the class.

We had a teacher who swore at her pupils all the time and after enough parents complained she got the sack. Talk to other people who are taught by her - if they feel the same, get them to get their parents to write in - schools take much more notice of parents than students. If that doesn't work perhaps look into getting some out of school tution if you find your English is suffering. I know it's not fair that you should have to do this but that's the way it is sometimes. Complaining to other teachers doesn't work, in my experience at least. They just think you're moaning and will always side with their colleagues when it's their word against yours.
I had a similar experience with teachers at my old school... my mother complained and it got a lot worse... Suddenly teachers who had liked me before started to be really horrible.
I'd say (and you're probably not going to want to hear this, but its what I wish that I'd done) SUCK UP. Be very quiet, nice, and agreeable, don't give her any excuse. Eventually she will stop hating you and just start treating you like one of the crowd.
I know it doesn't sound pleasant but its better than ending up in feud with your school.
Either that or move schools, but that seems a bit drastic.

It's not typing errors, most of us despise 'text talk'- it takes too much effort to read something which should be relatively simple to decipher. Your post also looks so untidy it hurts our eyes.
And it's like...yeah, but...no, but...
Someone having bother at school/being made to feel uncomfortable and all most people can do is moan about typing/language used...does it really matter?...Some perspective please!!
Its GCSE if you do your coursework go to lesson and learn the stuff you have to u'll be fine, you'll be rid of her soon, not saying its easy but you sound as if u know your way round the english GCSE ...let her be a bitch...keep your self respect and just let the rest of the year hate her....knowing no-one else likes her is always kinda gratifying.
