Which is better for a Physics degree? St Andrews or Durham

Hey everyone!

I have got an offer from both St Andrews and Durham for the MPhys course, and I am quite confused as to which one I should select. Looking at it financially, they are both similarly priced, although St Andrews is a bit cheaper.

I am not too worried about the location, or the size of the university, or whether or not I can go partying!

I am mainly interested in the academics, and the physics departments in particular. Which is the more rigorous and challenging program that gives one a strong foundation in the subject? Which has a higher quality of teaching and education? In which university are professors more accessible and helpful? Which has better opportunities for internships and research work under the guidance of a professor? Graduates from which university are more eligible for a job or for a Ph.D. degree? Which university has a better reputation?

Thanks in advance!!
