Velocity of a wave

Derive an expression of velocity of a wave on a string

Are you completely stuck? Any formulae you know of that could be relevant?
If you're referring to wave speed, then the 3 variable formula taught since GCSE Physics is "v = λf", where "v" is the velocity (wave speed) in m/s or ms^-1 (metres per second), and "f" is the frequency in Hz (hertz). Please bear in mind that you must use standard SI units when substituting values into the variables. I hope this helps, but if this isn't the response you were looking for, be more specific about your question so that I know what you mean and I can try my best to help you.
