Warsash Maritime Academy - Part of So'ton Solent

Hi guys,

Got a cadetship with Carnival Cruise Ships to study at Warsash in September. Does anyone know when term starts and more importantly what Warsash and Solent is like!?

And the most important question, is there a Sailing club at Solent?!

I live in Warsash, well like half a mile away.
I think there is a sailing club just down the road at Hamble, or about 2 mile away there is one in a place called Hill Head, quite a well to do one so i left many years ago. Not so sure about the actual Solent Uni though.

Warsash is a nice place, especially the maritime academy. Quite a few pubs too and is stupidly easy to access Southampton/Portsmouth too. I generally had the impression the marine guys just got drunk most nights in their accommodation but please correct me if i am wrong.

Haha, that sounds good to me!

I can't wait now, always dreamt of studying in Southampton as I live in Reading...not long now I guess. Already left dreary Stoke on Trent! lol
