I’m not sure on exact models but basically anything you don’t want to drive! Avoid Corsa’s, Polo’s and Fiesta’s/Focus’s as they are some of the most common first cars. Also, logically, the more expensive the car the more expensive the insurance would be. Probably skip high-end brands such as BMW/Audi as even if you can get a good deal on an older car it will be more expensive to insure.

My Peugeot 208 wasn’t too bad, and I’d suggest Hyundai/Honda would be good because they’re less common.

This is a load of rubbish. Quotes vary for everyone. You can't tell someone their quote will be cheap on a car just because it was cheap for you.

Insurance underwriting works in weird unpredictable ways.

I just know it’s one of the factors.

Logically, sure, but in reality not really.

We can't tell you what quotes you would get, but you can at least start somewhere by looking at the car insurance groups for ideas.

https://www.parkers.co.uk/car-insurance/cheap-cars/

Typically the lower the insurance group the lower the insurance will be.
