So I’ve applied for 3 palaeontology degrees and 2 evolutionary biology degrees. The main theme is evolution in both of them but palaeontology looks more at fossils and will have a fair amount of geology and field work involved where as evolutionary biology will be more lab work and look into genetics more. I’m really torn between the two and have no idea which one would suit me more. I don’t know what to do, I have offers for 2 of the palaeontology course and 1 of the evolutionary biology ones and am waiting for decisions from the other 2 universities.
I’m not an overly outdoorsy person but I’m not sure I could be inside all the time either. I have no idea what to do, does anyone have any advice on things I could do to help me choose? I’ve done open days and offer holder days and I left each one sure I wanted to go there until I went to the next one then I was confused again.

In case it’s not clear I suck at making decisions.

I'd say evolutionary biology is the safer choice careerwise.
