Condoms are highly effective contraception with perfect use. However, accidents happen. This video talks about emergency contraception, including the emergency contraceptive pill and the copper IUD (sometimes known as the coil).

The emergency contraceptive pill can be used up to 72 hours after unprotected sex, and the copper IUD can be used up to five days after unprotected sex and works as a method of ongoing contraception.

If you have any other questions about emergency contraception, let us know in this thread.
