Psychotherapy Vs counselling psychology

Hey guys, so I'm looking into doing either a psychotherapy masters or a counselling psychology PhD but I'm struggling to find any good information on what the difference between the two roles is? Mostly I've just found differences between clinpsych and counselling.
Also, in terms of the course content how do they differ? Also which is more difficult, haha
I know clinpsych is competitive but how about these?

Sorry for all the questions, Google is failing me!

Hi I'm currently doing a d.psych in counselling psychology. I think it's pretty competitive. The difference is that counselling psychologists train in 2 different approaches, one of which has to be humanistic.
