EEEEK!

Well, I guess no news is good news then! D:

I'm gonna agree with that...but will now probably end up constantly checking my emails all day (I've been trying not to, thankfully visited Surrey uni yesterday which stopped me yesterday). This is gonna be a horrible wait...:frown:

I agree...an agonising wait! If I did get an offer I'd 100% accept it. It's my first choice, not too sure my interview was stand-out enough for me to get one though :/ oh well fingers crossed

Eurgh, same!! I want to know already... or rather, I kind of don't, as I'm guessing the earlier I hear, the more likely it is to be rejection. :frown:

Haha exactly! All the same, I hope they start giving out offers now, so I can safely say I want to hear from them soon without tempting fate into sticking me with a rejection.
Hi guys,
I have my interview tomorrow for Literature and Creative writing, and I didn't realise the interview would be so formal! Is it really as long as it sounds?

Mine was anything but formal! 3 minutes of it (at least...) was my interviewer explaining the plot of Twilight to me and slagging it off. (It came up in conversation but I never read past the first 100 pages or so so I had no idea what happened in it. -_-)

That said, looks like it varies massively depending on who you have and what they want to ask you. ;/

Yeah, my interview was all about the creative writing part - nothing at all was mentioned about my personal statement. The only other things I was asked except from the writing was why I picked to do IB and why do I want to go to Warwick. Mine wasn't really formal.

Mine was kinda formal. Hmph. :P -jk-

xD Then again, I kinda made it informal by stealing his cushions on his couch and sitting on them. Still haven't heard anything, regardless. Anyone else heard back since the interviews? Only heard of two people hearing back as of yet, one was a rejection, and one was 'cause they'd left their wallet there xDD

Nope, nothing at all yet. I don't think any offers will come out before the interviews today, my interviewer seemed to think that they considered everyone together, but he wasn't sure. :/

Awh, bless, regarding the wallet.
Nothing yet. *edgy*

Haha I know right? Was really sweet of them regarding the wallet, they sent it back and everything :P And likewise to the above; my father called up this morning asking why I hadn't heard back already xD Way to make me feel even more nervousssss D:

Hey, sorry I'm new! Just stumbled across this thread  I had an interview on the 21st... thought it went well at the time and then you look back on it like, I could have said this, and this aah! Literally freaking out about the offers. Just wondering, what did they tell your dad?

Haha exactly the same happened to me - especially when I went back to the waiting room to chat with some of the other applicants and their interviews sounded like they'd gone so much better  Am sure you did fab - what sorta things did you get asked / who'd you have?

And they told him what I assume they tell every impatient parent; that all offers were being equally considered, and that the deadline was sometime in May, but offers should be sent out before then. I was a little mortified to say the least

Mmm hopefully it'll be soooon, it looks like such a good course

I had Leila Rasheed, the childrens author? I think they put me with her cos quite a lot of my portfolio was based around childhood. It's all a bit of a blur now. She just sort of asked about what I studying atm in english, whether I thought philosophy A2 helped me understand the context of what I was studying.. um, she asked me why I'd written in certain tenses and also about how whether I thought critical observation was important. We just ended up chatting about memoirs based on childhood in the end, and also about the media industry. Can't remember the rest right now  but yeah... she seemed quite laid back, which was good.

Compleeeetely forgot to give in her poem I'd written about the mirrors thing, because she didn't ask for it... hope that doesn't matter :/

Did you think yours went okay?

Ahhh yeah I made a small note on her when he gave the introductory lecture, so I could look into her stuff. And awesome! Sounds like yours went really well

And I'm sure it won't - when I went back to speak to some of the other applicants after my interview, a few of them hadn't been asked for their piece either. ^^

To be honest, I'm totally unsure. At the time of exiting the room, I was kicking myself for not mentioning more literature I've read, and indeed for replying 'lol' to one of the answers. But I suppose it could have gone a lot worse - will just have to wait and find out :P What are your other choices?

Ah that's a relief they hadn't been asked too (: dw, when she asked me what I was doing in A2 eng lit I completely mind blanked for about 30 seconds after mumbling a bit about othello and then remembered and shrieked 'chaucer!!!! FAUSTUS!!'. She looked a bit taken aback..
I have offers from Birmingham, kent, which'll be insurance (america for a year!), and then Exeter for straight english. Got rejected from Uea, but it's sooo far away that it's probably better that way. What about you? and who was your interviewer? (:

Pahahah at least you screamed something intelligent? Haha that's brilliant xD

And oooh snap to Kent being the insurance / firm if I don't get Warwick ^^ though I wish I'd applied for the year out, kicking myself a little for that now xD Other choices were St. Andrews (got offered an interview, couldn't attend so I think they're in a mood with me now. heh.) Gloucestershire and Brunel.

And I haaaaaad Jeremy Treglown (Totally had to google that, I completely forgot  most famous for his biography on Roald Dahl, I'm inclined to believe, so I was pretty gobsmacked by that)

Oooh Chaucer's one of the modules for the first year, isn't it? :pika: (Totally wanted an excuse to use that smiley.) So that's pretty cool that you've already looked at it - what'd you think of it? (I had a look at it out of interest, and personally couldn't understand a word of it, at first  )

The wait is really annoying now...I keep going through stages of I hope I get an offer to no way will I get an offer. I have a feeling we might start finding out next week...unless anyone has heard anything yet?

Ohsnap  Gotta be the most frustrating wait yet D:

And some English Literature students got offers today but haven't heard of anyone getting an offer for joint subjects yet?

I believe that we'll be waiting a bit later than the straight Lit students. Their last interview date was the 25th. Ours was the 28th. Also, there's slightly less competition for places on the straight Lit course, so presumably a slightly shorter decision time.

Dying to know, I want this so badly now. I REALLY REALLY want to go to Warwick :frown:
