Mine hadn't read my personal statement - she was skimming through it for what seemed like the first time as I sat before her, and she didn't even know that I had a portfolio submitted

Just an idea, but... you were the second interview date, right? I just ask because I wonder if this is why your interview seemed pretty 'rushed'. I think I had 3 weeks or so to work on the portfolio then send it, whereas you guys had closer to a week or something. Perhaps the second interview wasn't so well organised due to it being a more 'last minute' affair? Just guesstimating here, it seems really odd that they'd be so different between candidates. O.o

I'm really freaking out waiting for a response are you? It's like Warwick's a hit-man taking out candidates one at a time and that little red dot that marks out targets keeps passing over my forehead. Eeek.

I should ttly stop stalking this thread  But I'm not going to. Iana know who gets offerrrsss.

Oh I see how it is Warwick; not only do you reject me but you assassinate me at the same time? Just to let you guys know, I've heard of four more rejections (on the same day as mine/glitter's) and none since -tries to bring good news to the thread - so that's always a good sign that they appear to have held up on the rejections?

I'm really sorry to hear that... hope you're okay! *big hugs*

Still nothing for me... I had a major panic though, logged into my email as soon as I'd seen your post and saw Inbox (1)! Freaked out until I finally had the guts to peek and saw that it was from amazon telling me of 'great new deals in electronics' So.freaked.out.right.now. I'm going mad. :frown:

That's great, where else did you apply? I'm sure you told me but I've forgotten! D:

Thanks, I have my fingers tightly crossed! Didn't want to even go to the interview and now it's like all my hopes are on Warwick, it's the place I really want to be. Waiting is horrible! :s-smilie:

She was also an hour late...and didn't even shake my hand as I sat down/left. I loved Warwick but I thought that was a bit unprofessional...I don't know whether I should ask the uni about it, because I just assumed everyone else would have had the same super unformal meeting, and someone else would be deciding about the portfolio etc...super weird. Never mind. UEA here I come

I'm pretty sure from what you've said here that you had the same interviewer as me on the same day. I didn't like her very much

Hiya,
Yes as I've said before, I absolutely love warwick, and I'm still incredibly, INCREDIBLY, upset that I didn't get in...but my parents had never seen it before the interview day, and after I told them about her behaviour, we all left with an impression that it was very unproffessional and Warwick dropped down a couple of notches in my "awesomeness scale". Still would have gone there if I got an offer though (obviously). But yes she did put me off slightly. Anywho, I see that you also have an offer from UEA, is that going to be your firm too?

I'm not really sure about where to firm yet. The UEA course is definitely my favourite and they have such a great reputation for creative writing but the thing making me a little bit unsure is how far away Norwich is from where I live because it's expensive for me to travel to and from :s-smilie: I'm going to the visit day on 30th March and I'm hoping that after that I'll really know how much I like it compared with Notts and Lancaster, because I love them both too!

Sorry to hear that you're upset about not getting into Warwick :frown: I'm kind of the opposite - my interview was the first time I visited the uni and I didn't really like it as much as the other ones I've been to :s-smilie: I'm sure you'll have an amazing time at UEA, the course looks amazing

Awh yeah I know what you mean...I'm super nervous about going all the way up to Norwich (I'm from London), but I'm sure that once I'm there I'll be fine .
I was looking at the guide to UEA on the "university guides" section of TSR, and I read that you can get national rail tickets for as little as ÂŁ6 if you book in advance :O :O :O !! If that's correct then it'll be a huge saviour for me...I had to pay like ÂŁ45 when I went to visit UEA in February...but that's cos I bought the ticket 10 mins before the train was leaving XD. Still, travelling is also a bit daunting for me...but hopefully once I get used to it it'll be fine .
Good luck choosing a firm...I wish I'd applied to Notts because I've heard how great it is too!

As a general guide: book 12-13 weeks in advance for the cheap fares. The rule is the same across all networks. It's when they make up their timetables for or something like that, so it's cheaper.

Also, invest in a young person's railcard. They're ÂŁ25 or so, but mine has saved me hundreds of pounds in the last year!

Got rejected on Friday night.
Yeah. Can't say anything else. The interviewer was so enthusiastic and yeah. Really upset.

The railcard is the best freebie ever. Natwest should offer one for each year you are at university if you open your student account with them.

Well, if you didn't get rejected, then there could be a high chance you get accepted
Good luck, and everyone else too. Hope someone on here gets an offer

:frown: :frown: Know how you're feeling - just try and remember you got that interview because you fully deserved a place on that course (unlike my case, in which my personal statement far exceeded my writing skills xD) - it was just a case of numbers :frown: Hope the rest of your applications go awesomely
