As I am a Spanish, I just came to England 2 years for studying GCSE. However, the problem is my English level is not quite good. Even the teachers give me the text, or the English literature books like Jekyll and Hyde and Macbeth, I totally don't understand the texts or books. What should I do in order to understand the texts in my coming mock English language and Literature exams? Can anyone help me with the reading please. I only got a 3 in both subjects and I need a 6 to continue the study in Spain. Please help!!!

have you tried using translation tools?:dontknow: if there are some words in it that you do understand, try to think of words that would fit the appropriate context along with them. have you any form of support at the school for this kinda stuff?

I have tried the google translate but I think I cannot depend on it as there is no dictionary during the exam. My English teacher just ask me to memorise the vocabulary that I don't know. However, it doesn't help as there are thousands of words that I don't know. IN my last mock exam, I have tried to guess the meaning of the words that I don't know, but come up with a totally different meaning. In paper 2 question 4, the perspective comparison, I only got 2 marks as I got the wrong idea from the texts
