I'm going through some AS probability questions, but im stumped on the example question and answer.

I understand part a, but I dont understand part b at all.

example question: https://imgur.com/a/L8A9Ero

example answer: https://imgur.com/a/lDeRfT4

The only advice given is to use interpolation, and I don't understand where 3/4 and 1/4 have come from. I understand interpolation for quartiles, and percentiles, but this is completely new to me.

Could any of you please explain it to me in simple terms, and help me out on some other questions?

Thank you.

Nevermind. I've gotten a hang of these type of questions.
