AQA AS-Level Psychology (7181) exam discussion thread- 13 & 16 May

Anyone have a list of the questions that came up on the AS paper 2, my 1st A-level exam is on Monday and I wanted to see what came up on the AS paper☺️

Someone already kinda did the rest of the topics were research methods

For the one markers what did people put the cognitive approach was theoretically models or computer models?? And did you get Lab experiment and then repeated measures design for the other one markers

Anyone remember psychopathology qs?

There was one about operationalising the dependent variable not sure where it goes.

yes same ratio but mean ws 12.7 something like that .. but then they asked to put it in 2 sig fig which i honestly forgot how to do so i left it. dont judge me

Hey guys for the 12 marker in paper 1 (Anxiety for EWT) what did yall put as evaluations..... ive gotten that weapon focus may be surprise instead of anxiety so may not be relevant (due to pickel 1968 research), field studies lacking control (post event discussions) and demand characteristics in lab studies for anxiety.

I cant think of a 4th eval point, what did u guys write???

If I remember correctly (correct me, anyone, if I'm wrong)

Social influence-

Outline Authoritarian personality as an explanation for obedience. (3)
One limitation (3)
No 12 marker Just 8 marker on how consistency and commitment influence minority influence.
Then a bunch of RM questions a person replicated one of Asch's task difficulty variation studies. Multiple choices on the ratio and percentage, both 1 mark. You had to work out the mean (3). Write a suitable hypothesis (3). Then you had applied social influence to task difficulty, talk about the 2 groups. (2)

Memory

Describe evaluate research into the effects of anxiety of EWT. Referring it to a convo between 2 peeps. (12)

Then some RS questions.

You were given a study. Teacher makes pupils witness a crime. You have to give a technique used in the CI (1) then say what instructions you would follow that with. (2)

You had to identify the experimental design being used and identify an advantage. (3)
Then you had to say how a random sample would make it better (4)

(1) mark question missing. Can't remember it.


Attachment.

Describe research into Romanian orphan studies and institutionalisation. Something along those lines anyway. (6)

Identify three behavioural characteristics associated with Ainsworth strange situations theory. (3)

One limitation, apart from ethics. (3)

Describe and evaluate Bowlby monotropic theory (8)

Applied question on the research into the role of the father in attachment. (4)

Lol, I just realised I nearly memorised the whole paper, be it just 1 mark question off. 🔥
