A special investigation by Ofsted into the No Outsiders programme at Parkfield School, prompted by protests by some parents, has praised both the school and the programme.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...ed-by-watchdog

“Pupils talk knowledgeably and perceptively about how individuals and groups of people may be different to them in terms of, for example, their disability, age, race, religion, belief or no belief, gender and sexual orientation,”

Mohammed Aslam, speaking on behalf of [some of] the parents, said he was disappointed.

Not very surprising really. It was quite obvious the school hadn't done anything wrong. The parents are clearly just bigoted. It says a heck of a lot about integration and the lack of it in this country though. Why for instance are there schools like this where the majority of pupils are Muslim? That's not integration. Its segregation.

So that in situations like this they are guaranteed to get their own way.
If only 10% of the parents were Muslim the school may have stood up to them.

Good.

Moffat needs to run a No Outsiders for the protesting parents. Maybe it will help them address their bigotry and intolerance.

I doubt it.Religous belief is given far too much respect for that to happen. And they'll probably play the racism card as well even though it has literally nothing to do with race.

Not really surprising when their last report specifically noted their satisfaction of the scheme.

In related news the police are investigating the protestors.

Religious extremists shouting outside a primary school that tolerance for LGBT is "disgusting" and "indoctrination"?
I'm just off down the shops for a replacement spring for my Acme Irony-o-Meter™. Think I'd better get the heavy-duty one.

Schools are indoctrination centres, that and television nearly completely shape who you are.
