I’m revising stuff for most my GCSEs that I feel I comfortably already know and I do well on mocks and class tests without revision. Is it still necessary to revise more than say the week of/before my exam?

Definitely. Even if you think you know all of the content already, you may not in 9 weeks time. Furthermore, it’s likely that content which you don’t currently know (even if you think you do) will come up in the exam if you don’t revise for it.

At the end of the day, it’s much more effective to actually put the effort in and revise for your GCSEs over a long period of time than leaving it until last minute and winging it. The thing that sets apart the higher grades from the lower grades is the amount of effort the individual has put in.

Good luck!

I see where you’re coming from but it just feels pointless. I didn’t do much more than a day or two revision for last years exams and they all went well so I think I ágil just leave it again

If that’s how you feel, then it’s completely up to you. Most people benefit from doing revision from about this time, but if you think you’ll be fine, then best of luck in the exams.
