I want a London uni really, and none of the unis seem to hold any open days on the weekends.

Probably because people don't like to work at weekends, so they hold open days during the week instead. It is annoying though, but its a good excuse to miss a few days school.

You shouldn't really complain. After all you get a day off school for each open day. And if u're going to visit a london uni, take some time out to hang around there for a bit with some mates or something.

Because Universities don't pay overtime to the staff who have to be around (we have a slave clause in our contracts - work as many hours as it takes to get the job done)...so noone would be willing to work the weekend for free (especially the academics).
