What do you mean figure out? Are you unsure as to what they're asking? They're basically asking you to make up two/three different openings and endings, and then look at these like you would someone else's work - to see which one is the most effective.

I get that but I don't know how to create openings and endings.

In your introduction you should outline very roughly your opinion. You shouldn't give too much away, (otherwise the reader wouldn't bother reading the full article) but you should give a rough summary on your thoughts on the topic. You can always make up a statistic to use for this.

The ending is a bit harder, you want to draw together all of the points you outlined in the main body, and conclude as to your opinion about the statement. It should ideally not just relist what you've said before.
