Should I go to Kings College London? Watch

Hi, so I recently received an offer for History from Kings and the University of Manchester, but I'm not sure what to put down as my first choice. At the moment I am leaning towards King as I prefer the course, the campus and the societies look really good too! However, I currently live in London and I want to be able to experience Uni and university life and I feel like I can only do this by moving out. I don't have many friends at school, and so at uni, I want to be able to make loads of friends and socialise a lot. I feel like this will be a lot easier for me personally. At the moment, I am living at home, but my house is overcrowded with around 11 people there at the moment ( I have a big family). My parents want me to stay in London and they said that I can move out for the first year if I wanted, but I don't know how economical it would be to move into halls in London, and if I did would I move out for 2nd and 3rd year? Or move back home. Also, my parents are quite strict and I feel like moving out will give me some breathing space and allow me to be independent etc. On the other hand, Manchester is further away, and I also know loads of people that are going there (not good) but I will have the opportunity to experience uni life properly. Any help, please?? I don't know what to do!!

In terms of moving into halls in London, you can expect to pay 170 per week depending on the location you choose, you will be based at strand campus which has good accommodation, I would recommend going to one of the open days and checking out the accommodation at strand. I used to live at GDS which is near London Bridge and guy's campus but my course was base at stamford street near waterloo so make sure your accommodation is close to your campus to avoid paying for travel in the long run. If you create a budget and stick to it, I would say uni life in London is very good.

Hi! Thanks for your reply? Did you live in London before? If so did you ever feel like you were too close to home? Also what is KCL like? I have no idea what to choose as I live both!
