I watched lots of LGBT movies and I'm running out of ideas of what to watch and my friends are coming over on Saturday-and I need a movie recommendation.Preferably lesbian movies, but I don't mind gay male movies either.I like dramas,so not comedies.

Carol (2015)... It's on netflix and features Cate Blanchett. It's quite serious however.

Carol is tedious. The characters lack any personal qualities. There romance was just a thing that sort of happened and they just happened to be women.

The best gay films I ever watched were Brokeback Mountain, Aimee and Jaguar and a Korean film called Night Flight and this is because the characters were so full of a life outside their sexualities that it was a beautiful to learn their stories.

On this note, can someone please suggest me some good straight movies. Obviously, the sexual preferences of the main characters is the main reason to watch a movie, yet sadly all my friends only ever suggest movies based on arbitrary criteria such as plot, acting quality and ability of the film to evoke emotion. What bigots!

I think OP wants movies centered at focusing on the LGBT community, not movies that cast people from the LGBT community, you might be misunderstood.

Romances on screen, whatever sexuality, are not relatable anyway.

I'm not sure your friends would like the kind of lesbian movies I would recommend, assuming they're not lesbians themselves.

have you seen Life Partners staring Leighton Meester and Adam Brody? not the best film ever but might be fun to watch with your friends (about female best friends who drift apart cuz one gets into a (straight) relationship). you don't like comedies but it's more of a dramady.

edit: i didn't see you mention 'intense dramas' till i already posted.
