I have been having bad headaches and back aches, sharp pains in my stomach area which make me want to curl up in a ball and not move, I have sore breasts that hurt at the touch. Earlier I saw brown discharge and then had bleeding for about 5 minutes, however it has completely stopped now. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

That depends on how many periods you’ve had before, when the last one was, whether you’re sexually active, what they are usually like??

Are you regular usually? The implant can change your cycle and if you’ve just had it put in, your body will be adjusting to it. If you’ve had it for a while and this isn’t normal for you, then you can either wait and see if anything else happens as worrying can delay things or make a trip to the GP as the headaches and back aches are something that needs to be noted and see if they can shed any light onto why you’ve got them?

I’ve had it for almost 2 and a half years now and this is very unusual as I’ve been quite regular and heavy throughout the 2 years, I have read that it is 99.9% contraception however I’m worrying whether I’m that unlucky to maybe be pregnant, do you think this is a possibility?

I know when I was pregnant early on, there was headaches, back pain and implantation cramping. You can also get implantation bleeding if you were pregnant. The only way to be sure is to take a test- if you’re pregnant then you’ll know, if it’s negative then a trip to the GP may be able to tell you if it is the implant and if so, they may recommend a different type?
