Pffft I sing wherever I am.
How else are people meant to know you are having a shower? It's a natural instinct, cave people sang in the shower to tell predetors that now is not the time for s**t to happen. When the songs over then feel free.
If you sing opera in the shower... Is it a soap opera?
I don't acctualy sing in the shower, instead I just think about life and say random words, I don't think about the words they just come out and make horrible nonsense, like some music nowadays I guess, so perhaps I am singing.
It's an eveloutionary trait we developed (likely from when we lived in caves) to ward off spiders.

I've literally never had that urge

If we still lived in caves a spider would have eaten you by now. If you live in Australia then one still might eat you.
In shower, no-one can here you sing.
