You'd likely have to look at the V-rules that Hursthouse pointed out from the works of Aristotle. I think the most applicable would be that of compassion, and preventing life would likely be a lack of compassion which would be less than the golden mean.

If there are any other values that you think could be applied to it, then your answer may be different.

May I inquire to what exam board your philosophy course is?
