For anyone currently studying economics at degree level, how do you find is the best way to take notes in an economics lecture? Do you use a laptop or do you write your notes by hand?

I only ask because although I assume there is a lot of writing involved there are graphs, models and some maths you'd need to take note of as well. Do you find you can do it all on a computer or would you recommend writing notes the old fashioned way? I am in the market for a new laptop and wondered whether it's worth buying a MacBook for University if I'm going to be using paper and pen most of the time anyway with economics.

Thanks.
