Question from pressure MCQ
can someone explain why the answer is A? I always thought the forces in the horizontal direction cancel out.
The forces horizontally do cancel, but they are there, and increasing with depth, as shown in A.

thanks, but why is the answer not C?
The arrows at the side top should be about = arrows at top and arrows at the side bottom should be about = arrows at bottom.
