University of Glasgow accommodation

I'm going to study dentistry and so I'd like to live close to the dental school.
What accommodation would you recommend?

Murano is the biggest of all the halls so logically it easier to make friends because there is simply more people. However as a result it is noisier and known for loud parties, it's also not in as nice an area of Glasgow as the other accommodations. Queen Margaret is more expensive and quieter than the other halls and is located in one of the most expensive parts of Glasgow. It is the 'prettiest' of all the halls and definitely very safe. Other than that there isn't much difference between the Glasgow owned accommodations, a lot of the blocks at each residence have been refurbed but there's no guarantee you'll be placed in one of these, so it is a gamble. If I were you I'd go for QM or maybe Kelvinhaugh.

Hey so i'm going to study medicine at glasgow this fall and i really dont know what to choose. ive been trying to see what people say. And while murano is known as the party hall, Ive also heard that its like too much partying so idk. And QM is apparently a 20 min walk to the medical building. Ive heard cairncross is nice. I havent really heard people talk about the student apartments or kelvinlaugh for that matter. I am so confused. I guess choosing a place depends on whether you want an ensuite bathroom or not too. idk. pls help

Hey I know this is a year old but I was wondering where you ended up staying? I’m starting dentistry at Glasgow this September and am also unsure on accommodation! I think I’m going to go for cairncross as it’s close to the dental school and cheaper than kelvinhaugh but I’m just worried about the social life not being great. If you have any advice that would be great!
