My skin has gotten worse and its really upsetting me

Looking at old pictures of myself from 2017/2018, i realise how much my skin has gotten worse by over last summer. I did not put any suncream on for the majority of summer, which was a very stupid decision of me to do so. Because my skin has got a lot of dark spots around my face, especially around the hairline. My skin also is starting to get tiny spots around and it's really upsetting me as my skin was clear my entire life up until now. I do not know who I should go to, how I can get help for this. I've tried using some exfoliation creams but that made my skin burn and get very dry afterwards and it feels like it just makes it worse! Is there even a way to get my skin back to being clear and its natural skin colour back? Any advice would be very helpful!
be gentle with your skincare, uptake more water than you are currently. light exercise routinely. for scarring and skin texture id recommend bio oil. this is slightly pricy, but trust me it helps with texture. I use like 2 drops into my hand and then dot it onto texture and scars and rub in. not too much tho, there's no need and it absorbs really quick. the amount of acne I have, my skin should be a lot worse but the oil does wanders trust me. of u don't trust skin oils and no active spots try dermal rolling. haven't tried that myself but seems good from my research. in Superdrug there's a much cheaper bio oil alternative called renew oil or something works just as good btw. hope this helps

Go to your GP and ask to see a dermatologist, they'll be the ones that can offer you the most sound advice.

1) Ensure you wear SPF everyday (unless you're staying in all day).
2) Use serums that contain ingredients with brightening effects. The Ordinary is a good brand, maybe try their Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide or Ethylated Ascorbic Acid serums.
3) See a doctor.
Use gentle face washes and only exfoliate 2-3 times a week. Moisturise whenever you wash your face and keep your routine as basic as possible. Make sure to wear spf every day- even if it's cloudy.

In the mean time it might be worth going to the GP to see if there's any creams or medication to keep your spots under control. I used a couple of creams, took antibiotics and eventually went on roaccutane which sorted my skin out for me!

I feel your pain, I’m in that same position I’ve had skin issues for 5 years now my acne was terrible now I don’t have much acne just a few clogged pores and small pimples maybe occasionally a cyst but **** my scars make me want to die I hate it so much! I look at my camera it would be a tiny bit noticeably with Make up on in mirror I couldn’t tell as much but when I look at something like tinted glass or low lighting I can see how textured and scarred my skin is I lose so mch confidence in a split second and want to curl up and cry let me know if wnuthing works for you I feel like I’ve given up
