So, I've been dating my (first) girlfriend for a just over a week now and it's been going great, and we both have strong feelings for each other. I even found out that next year, my university accommodation offer is for a place that a minute's walk away from her, which she was over the moon about and wants me to take the offer.
When we were texting, we were just joking around and chatting and then she said "ofc I'm not THE one, but for now I am and you are too". I was a bit annoyed when she said this. Then I texted her back saying "what makes you think you couldn't be the one" and then she said " Idk, I just that that"
Of course, we don't know what's gonna happen to our relationship over time but how is it possible for her to think that I'm not THE one for her and vice versa. I guess I don't like how she's kind of putting a shelf life on the relationship. Am I overreacting a bit?
