So perhaps users on this forum were too hasty in their piling on against Smollett?

He wasn't proven innocent he made a deal because he is a rich celebrity and the law doesn't apply to him.

They had a rock solid case against him.

The prosecutors (who dropped the charges) still believe he is guilty. In a statement, the DA's office said there was nothing wrong with the evidence and the charges were justified. They also stressed Smollett has not been exonerated. However, for some reason they decided to settle for community service and a forfeit of his bond instead of taking it to court.

Essentially, Smollett and his lawyer made a 'deal' behind the scenes and got off with a gentle slap on the wrist instead of facing the 16 felony charges. Smollett seems to think this means he's been vindicated, which is obviously untrue given the aforementioned statements from the persecutors, his bond forfeit, and the clear evidence against him.

So no, we weren't being too hasty.

In fact the Grand Jury had already made their mind up with a portion of the evidence given.

Smollett is a complete and utter parasite.

Trump had called for the FBI to investigate the case.
Meanwhile the city of Chicago bills Smollett $130,000 for the cost of the investigation into his "hoax"

From the beginning, there was this nagging feeling that Smollett is destined for an Oscar. That became a longer shot as the cops worked it all out but here we are, back on track. It's all political, this stuff.

Of course he has, these bodies are simply a front for a very well oiled and financed political network. He will go places, the whole tribe will make sure of it. Decades of investing in the cultural takeover of the institutions is exactly what makes things like this happen, they all know each other. So many people in positions of power and influence have arrived there with the financial and political backing of people like Soros and others. They fund them all the way to filling their positions where they can be put to good use, like the Chicago prosecutor or the media channels dishing out their propaganda.

Why does Soros, the ultimate example of rapacious capitalism, do it? For the same reason that Apple and Amazon do, to protect themselves from a Democratic party that traditionally would object to the numbers of workers committing suicide at the factories for their product or the working conditions in their wharehouses. The Democrats are all for open-borders, who benefits from that? It's like buying an indulgence from the Church, in this case they buy their enemies to shut them up. Bluddy cancer has spread far too much, it's terminal.

That's what Stalin said when warned of Hitler's intentions and that illustrates the problem, if they turn out to be true...

Everyone knows all this socialist comeback and game of identity politics are being brewed in the classrooms, not at working-class haunts. Not a conspiracy theory, merely an observable overview.
sorry???? The historical revisionism is quite hilarious.

Stalin said "the devil is not as terrible as he is painted" in the same speech he also said "if one judges by Germany's real position and not by the boastful assertions of German propagandists."

with that being said, Smollet has no supporters or sympathisers especially by liberals (not socialists as you suggested) who were the first to bring out the pitchforks.

He is now the poster boy of equality before the law, as he has demonstrated that the law applies as much as rich white men as it does on rich black men.
